Christmas + Ribbon with Crafting with Dragonflies

This fortnight at Crafting with Dragonflies our theme is Christmas + Ribbon. I raided my ribbon stash to make the tree; the star-studded ribbon is actually pieces of a collar my dog Walt wore when he was just a tiny puppy 10 years ago! I used a modified version of the Ribbon Frame Technique for the border.

Be sure to check out the gorgeous cards by my Crafting with Dragonflies teamies.

The backing papers are pre-glittered Core'Dinations cardstocks. Mom gifted me the metallic doiles; I cut down a gold one for the tree stump. The gold star is a patch, and I added some sequins & beads with Glossy Accents.

Inspiration/Challenges:

  3. What a clever idea CG creating the tree from ribbon.....didn't think of that even tho I've been thinking of making ribbon trees......didn't make the leap to the challenge.....my brain doesn't seem to like exercise these days lol. I hope you're nearly finished those Christmas cards. Don't they become a chore as you're getting nearer the posting date!!! Wynn x
